Awaji Island, Japan

Ducking beneath the fabric curtains that hangs from the welcoming doors of a restaurant always feels nostalgic for me. I feel like I can hear this picture. The shuffle beneath the cloth curtain and squeak of the sliding door. We found this small local Omakase restaurant on Awaji Island and had the most fresh assortment of sashimi. The door feels humble but the restaurant boasts some of the best sushi on the island.
