Captured from inside the old walls of A Famosa, a Portuguese fortress built in the 1500s which survived British destruction. Visitors took shelter in the shade of A Famosa while looking out toward the new history museum. I love the juxtaposition of this photo. The historical site is used for utility while the modern museum is being observed.
