There is a word in Danish, hygge, to describe a feeling of togetherness and coziness that, while universal, does not have a direct translation in English. The pubs in Rotterdam have hygge. The way people lean in for a conversation and a beer on a Friday night above glowing lights is the exact coziness that I think many of us could use more of. The city sparkles with hygge.
